Here are some of the most commonly asked questions we’ve received from our customers. If you don’t find the answer you’re looking for, please reach out and we will get back to you shortly.

What type of flowers can I choose for our cake? 

Fresh flowers are such a popular choice for wedding cakes, they can tie into your theme perfectly. I can source flowers from my preferred florist to match your theme or I can collect them from your florist. 
Sugar flowers are also a great way to decorate your cake, handcrafted by me they also make a lovely keepsake after your day


Can we use Dummy/ fake tiers? 
Absolutely! 
Dummy tiers can be included into any design, this allows us to turn a 2 tier into a 3 tier and so on. No limits!

Make a showstopper tall cake without the waste of cake or extra portions. We also offer smaller traybakes to be served with the rest of your wedding cake.


What price are your wedding cakes? 

Prices below are an approximate and just for reference. Due to design complexity,  fresh flowers, sugar flowers and delivery the final price may change. 

Fondant Iced Cakes 
A fondant iced cake is used to create smooth and sharp edges. It offers a clean and modern look.

 

2 Tier Cakes (6&8 Inch) from €240

3 Tier Cakes (6,8 & 10 Inch ) from €400

4 Tier Cakes (4.6.8 & 10 Inch ) from €550

Naked/Semi/ Rustic Cakes
A buttercream finish on these cakes, it allows for a smooth and imperfect finish, and a nice alternative to the traditional fondant finish. 

 

2 Tier Cakes (6&8 Inch) from €210

3 Tier Cakes (6,8 & 10 Inch ) from €370

Can be decorated with Fresh Flowers/ Fruit

How many portions will we get from our cake ? 
Portion sizes are based on approx. of 1" x 1" x 5"
2 Tier cakes generally serve 60+guest

3 Tier up to 120 guest

4 Tiers up to 180 and above

 

I can provide tray bake cakes to the kitchen to serve with the rest of the wedding cake to cover extra portions

How do I make a booking? 

Please email me at charming.cakes@yahoo.ie with the following details:

 Your Date

Venue

Number of guests

 

Its always good to know what style cakes you like. Feel free to send me over any inspiration pictures you may have to charming.cakes@yahoo.ie

 From there we can come up with a cake design and once happy I can issue you with the final cost for your cake and issue you with an order form and a date of next contact.

 

A booking deposit will be required to hold the date with final payment 2 weeks before the wedding day.
